Members are encouraged to get involved in all Club activities, not simply those that are exclusive to their own Membership Sections.
New Members names will be passed to the Captain of the club or of the Sections or the Junior Organiser and they and others will help you join in - if you want to!
We are always happy to welcome new members of all golfing standards to our midst and there are “Roll Ups” most days to enable new members to play with existing members.
A full year round calendar of competitions offer challenges to the serious golfer but there are many opportunities to get to know other members through social golf as well and occasional fun golf events such as Cross Country Golf, Night Golf and the infamous “Green Keepers Revenge”!
The Club has friendly matches against a number of other local Clubs and teams in County events and the North Gloucestershire Foursomes League.
No less active than the Men’s and Seniors sections we offer a warm and supportive welcome to new and experienced lady golfers of all ages with the opportunity to join in a full competition schedule, inter Club matches including the Ladies Alliance League plus a number of lively social events
Ladies Day is a Tuesday when we have our regular medal and stableford competitions but there are always lots of other opportunities to play golf and socialise with fellow members plus additional competitions. For ladies that work during the week there are further competitions and golfing opportunities at weekends.
It couldn’t be easier to belong to the Seniors Section for male golfers of age 55 plus in years and you couldn’t find a livelier more welcoming and active section.
Playing most of their competitions on a Monday and their impressive schedule of inter club matches on Thursdays the Seniors of Lilley Brook appreciate life and their golf - supported by a drink and a bite to eat after a round and several social events along the way.
Their’s is the future! We are always keen to grow and develop the next generation of golfers and across the years many have moved through the Junior section gaining ability and friends and enjoying this great game into adulthood.
A number have gone on to represent their County but whatever their level they will reflect upon their time as a member of the Junior Section at Lilley Brook as being fun with matches, coaching and competitions filling weekends and school holidays.
The children and grandchildren of playing members pay an annual subscription of just £30.00 a year.
Run by a dedicated and enthusiastic juniors' Committee, with Nathan Watts (PGA Level 1 coach), Grant Mcintosh and Conrad Bourne as Junior Organisers, supported by Head Professional Matt Evans. We provide a safe, fun environment for juniors to learn and progress to their full potential, whilst equipping them with golfing and life skills, which they will hopefully use and enjoy for the rest of their lives.
Competition is an important part of golf and, whilst not compulsory, we encourage juniors to improve; and this is best achieved through playing in a competitive environment. There are regular competitions for juniors with a handicap and for those without. A number of our juniors play in several competitions. We have a Junior Open competition ever year that holds around 80 juniors from all over Gloucestershire competing.
