Centenary Hickory Challenge

We started our Centenary Celebrations a little early with a Centenary Hickory Club Event on Saturday 25th September, which was our 99th birthday! Members were treated to a magnificent sunny day where the competition required us all to use hickory golf clubs which were provided by Time Warp Golf. The players played over a replica 1922 10 hole course in a Texas Scramble format and afterwards there was a putting competition with a putter from the 1800s and a replica gutta percha ball. Eoghan O'Connor continued a theme for the day by winning the nearest the pin  for the putting competition, whilst Taras Ciuriak won a special prize for holing a putt during that putting competition! Congratulations to the winning team of Mark Hall, Eoghan O'Connor, Luke O'Sullivan & Carl Taylor who shot a nett 29.2 over the 10 holes to win by 1.6 shots over the nearest rivals. Please see the video link below for all the first tee shots.

The winning Team looking suitably austere!
