Welcome and Summary of Activities

Welcome to Lilley Brook Golf Club Ladies' Section. We have 98 playing members at present, with some 16 social members. We are a friendly and active section. Our main competition day is on Tuesday, when the tee is reserved exclusively for ladies from 08.20-10.45 and 13.00-14.30. Time sheets are available to sign up for various competitions and matches. On Thursday morning there is social golf, which is arranged informally amongst members.

Business ladies are very welcome and can play their medals on pre-arranged Saturdays or Sundays or, in the summer, later on a Tuesday afternoon to fit in with their commitments.

County. All members of the Ladies' Section are automatically Gloucestershire County members and may play in county competitions relevant to their handicap.

There is an active Veterans' section, both at local and county level.  

The section is a member of the Cotswold & District Ladies' Alliance and there are two teams which play in these leagues. Additionally there are "friendly" matches with most local clubs.

Popular mixed competitions are held on all Bank Holiday Mondays in the season. The Ladies' section holds one Invitation Day and one Open Day per annum, plus in-house cups and competitions, which include winter and summer eclectics.

Bridge: there is a Bridge Club in operation and any member is invited to play if she has knowledge of the game.

New golfing members are adopted by a mentor, who will take them onto the course and introduce them to other members of the club.

The Ladies are very keen to support their section, which leads to a thriving and enthusiastic membership.
