2010 Pro/Am Invitation to Enter

I am delighted to invite you to Lilley Brook’s principal invitational event of the year. International Plywood (Importers) Ltd have kindly agreed to be the main sponsor, for the ninth consecutive year and the format for the competition will be as follows:

Thursday 13th May 2010 – AM/AM
Friday 14th May 2010 – PRO/AM

Our objective is to provide all sponsors and their teams with a most enjoyable and challenging competition and to this end we are most grateful to International Plywood for their continued support.

The Am/Am has proved to be a popular feature preceding the Pro/Am and as in previous years, all Pro/Am team entries will be entitled to submit a team FREE OF CHARGE. Throughout Am/Am day a running barbecue will be offered and on Pro/Am day a carvery will be offered. Competitors are welcome to use the club’s facilities during the event. As usual an attractive and valuable prize table will be provided for both days of the ‘Tournament’.

You are cordially invited to participate in what I am sure will be an enjoyable and entertaining two days of golf. All team members will be asked for a current handicap certificate for this tournament at registration.

In order to confirm your entry, please complete the attached entry form and return it along with a cheque for £285 per team (no vat is applicable) made payable to Lilley Brook Golf Club before Monday 12th April 2010.

Course Order of Play

As from Tuesday the 9th March 2010 the order of play will revert to the summer layout of holes 1 to 18, remaining off the winter tees.

It is anticipated that within the next couple of weeks and subject to weather members will be back playing off the grass tees.

On an unhappy note and as a result of a recent theft of some of our tee markers, any remaining markers have been removed from the winter mats for the short term and will be introduced when play resumes off grass tees.

A message will be recorded on the course answerphone and a notice displayed on the first tee reminding members of the change to the order of play.
