"This is the largest section in the club with over 550 members"

Welcome to the gentleman’s section of Lilley brook Golf Club. This is the largest section in the club with over 550 members. Handicaps range from +1 to 28+, thus whatever handicap you play off you are sure to find plenty of competition!

Competitions at Lilley Brook

If formal competitions are your interest we can meet your every desire; with a Wednesday and a weekend medal every month from March to November and a plethora of cups and trophies at weekends for all handicap levels including our Club Championship weekend which runs 3 separate handicap trophies over the 2 days.

We do not stop for winter with 2 winter leagues running

The Saturday league is a pairs match play event whilst the Sunday league is a 4 ball better ball league with the top teams playing off in a final. In addition a winter singles knockout competition also takes place.

If this is not enough we run two competitive teams

The “A” team are in the first division of the North Gloucestershire Foursomes league (NGFL) and if you are a +1 to 6 handicap you would be very welcome.

The “B” team is a more social side who play regular 4 ball better ball matches against local sides, and whilst the golf is competitive so are the after golf activities!

Social Golf

If conversely you prefer to play social golf you will find many friendly groups who will be happy to play with you.  We also have a “Game Finder” on our new website, where you can request a game online.

I hope I have whet your appetite for golf on our beautiful parkland course designed by Alistair Mackenzie and I look forward to meeting you either on the course or in the Club.
