Rules Of Golf

"Lilley Brook Golf Club is committed to the promotion and development of junior golf for both boys and girls"

Commitment to Junior Golf

It caters for all levels of ability from absolute beginner to single figure handicapper.

There is an active junior section which provides coaching, arranges matches and runs competitions just for junior members.  There is also a junior club night where juniors can get to know other junior members. We list events and results on our Facebook page.

We have been awarded the GolfMark High Achiever and Grass Roots awards.

Facilities and Support

The club has facilities for both playing and practice.  Also the Club Professionals and the Junior Organiser are available for advice on how to improve and gain more enjoyment from the game.

Many youngsters learn the game by attending the Junior Starter Centre which runs throughout most of the year.  This is available for both members and non-members and provides a comprehensive introduction to golf.

Admission to junior membership

Juniors must be under the age of eighteen at the beginning of the year.  The minimum age for membership is normally 8 years.

Applicants for membership should obtain a junior membership form and a copy of the Junior Handbook from the club office.

When the form is returned the Junior Organiser will assess the applicant’s playing standard and will either confirm membership or recommend a coaching course for those who are new to the game.

Child Protection and Safety

We aim to provide a safe and secure environment and we are fully committed to the National Guidelines for Safeguarding Children in Golf.  An important part of this is contact and communication with parents.
