What a fabulous night we all had at the Lilley Brook Annual Dinner and Dance otherwise known as the "JAMES BOND" night.
Everyone had a great evening and for those lucky enough to get a look in at the roulette tables, gambling was at its best with the Ladies showing the men how to win.
The night was a great success for the Club and myself and proves that Lilley Brook is a great place not only to play golf but has a fantastic social side, however none of this could happen without the help from the fabulous band of volunteers and the best green keepers.
I would like to say thank you to some of those who made the night so special:
Mike Jordan and his wife to stepping in for the Vice Captain and looking after the 2017 Captains,
Rob Barker for all his behind the scenes organisation, the Bond Girls Sandra and Grace, the Bar staff led by Jamie, Simon and Oscar and their crew for their hard work in serving the excellent food, my wife for putting up with me during my Captaincy, but one person more than any who gave up a lot of her time and presented what was a brilliant event - Sandra, thank you from all of us.
A slight change of direction brings me to the Festive events, I will be around during most December and hope to catch up with many of you in the club house. I will be attending the 200 Club, Seniors 3 Club challenge and Christmas lunch, Table 10 Christmas lunch, Saturday and Sunday winter league.
The Hutchins household is already in the festive spirit with my Grand-children coming around last Sunday and decorating the Christmas tree, what a lovely afternoon.
